REWIND: The Shamen - 'Boss Drum'

Another one from early 90's dance legends The Shamen, this time the title track from their fifth album 'Boss Drum'. The LP was released in September 1992 and featured their massive and rather infamous single 'Ebeneezer Goode', the song that provided the group with their only number 1 hit. The album contained no less than SIX songs that would be issued as singles, and this excellent piece of pumping produce was released as the third. 'Boss Drum' was also The Shamen's most successful LP, charting at number 3. I owned a copy of the album on tape in the early 90's, and remember playing it a lot on my Walkman when we holidayed in Andorra. Read more about my musical memories from the early 90's HERE. Activate the rhythm indeed.
