Track Of The Day: Damon Albarn - 'Sister Rust'

Damon Albarn has unveiled a brand new song, which appears on the soundtrack to the movie 'Lucy', a new film starring Scarlett Johansson and directed by Luc Besson. The dark, yearning and cinematic 'Sister Rust' comes packed with wonderful string parts and lyrics that fit the film "exit music" concept perfectly. The soundtrack album to the film is available to buy now after being released a few days ago on August 4. Albarn has recently been touring around the world with his backing band The Heavy Seas. At the beginning of June, I was lucky enough to see Damon and his group play an intimate gig at the Wedgewood Rooms in Portsmouth for a small and enthusiastic crowd of 300 fans.
